LiST
The Lives Saved Tool (LiST) is a modeling software that estimates the impact of scaling up coverage of health and nutrition interventions on newborn, child, and maternal survival and nutritional status. It is designed to support program planning by decision makers. The LiST software and training resources are available via IIP-JHU free of charge here.
LiST was used in all four NEP countries in Cycle 1 to answer questions around how scaling-up certain interventions or reaching certain coverage targets would affect intervention impact. It was also used for a retrospective analysis to identify to which interventions gains in maternal and children under 5 mortality reduction could be attributed. LiST was an ideal introductory tool as country teams could rapidly produce policy-relevant findings using readily-accessible household survey data.
